It's been a long summer. We're all getting a little crabbier as the days go by, waiting for school to start up again (well I know I am at any rate).
There have been many tough, painful days lately, watching my father-in-law struggle with cancer.
I never seem to have enough time to get everything done anymore, so what do I do...add more to my plate.
It's all left me a little tired. And I find myself dreaming again...dreaming of that trip to France...you know, the ultimate escape from reality!
I haven't been on a "real" vacation since before I was pregnant with my third child...and she just turned 2. I know that my husband and I have talked about some day making it to Paris, but the truth be told...shhh...this part is a secret...I'd actually rather go with my girl friends...
I'd like to start here for a few days, in the wine making region of Cote du Rhone. In this 200 year old Provencal chateau...

Sleeping in this...

I want to sit in a little cafe, chatting with my friends...

Oh I would love to go to Paris. It looks just heavenly. You need a vacation girl and one with friends is something all together different than with the fam.
Hope it becomes a reality for you.
Tracey - such a dream!!!
I've spent a lot of time in paris in college, and have SUCH a bug to return. Especially to the fleas....can you imagine the shipping bill we'd rack up?!
The Trac(e)y's take Paris. I like the sound of it...
Kasey can come too ;)
xoxo
Ooh la la Tracey! I want to go with you! I am French (one~fourth) and have traced my French heritage back to the early 1600's... I would love to see where my great~grandmothers (ALL named Marie, after the Queen, of course)and families once lived... not to mention all of the sites you pictured above...I adore cafe au lait... and I too would really LOVE to go to their flea markets... when do we leave... Julie Marie
Sounds wonderful...the fleas would be the most amazing part...I can't imagine the damage i would do there! thank for the dream..
I want to go!! I haven't been in such a long time and I never went to the fleas...a lovely dream to have!

Paris is one of my favorite cities. Somehow, it seems that life is more poetic in Paris. I hope you get the vacation of your dreams very soon. Thanks for coming by.
ahhh, me too, dreaming of Paris..

HI Tracey
Sorry to hear the news re your Father In Law. It is a difficult time for everyone i'm sure.
I too am just dreaming about travel to keep me going. My last holiday was too far back to remember. So many places I love and Paris is certainly one of them. Thanks for the photos they help me pretend I'm there anyway. hahah.. x Julie
AAAaaaaa...take me on that trip!!! Look at that furniture on the street...it shouldn't be there. It needs to be in my home :) These summer days are passing us up and we are all due for a few days of vaca. Here's to dreaming in Paris ♥
Love your dreamy photos of Paris. Ahh, the memories - I lived there for three years, but would like to go back again, someday. Hope your dream comes true...
aaahhhhh
how perfect would that be?!
so sorry to hear of your father in law's struggle. i hate that cancer
xo
Wow, you seem to have all the plans worked out .... hang on to that dream and make it a reality!
Sounds heavnly!!!
Can I come too??
I'm sorry that you're having a rough time...
Tracey, you make me laugh. I so know what you mean about wanting to go with the girls instead. Boy, do I hope your husband and my husband don't read this blog.(pretty safe bet that mine doesn't) You know what they say 'French women don't get fat, and maybe, just maybe, American women don't get fat while in France.
Blessings to you and your family while weathering this storm in your life.
Hugs,
June
Sounds like a wonderful dream...I do hope you get to make it a reality someday! I was only in Paris once...class trip during high school. I think I'd have a different perspective if I could go back now that I'm "older & wiser" :)
P.S. Sending well wishes for your father-in-law...prayers, too.
I am dreaming right a long with you...again my prayers.
Janet
