The Little Things...

I love to go to flea markets. Let me say that again...I LOVE TO GO TO FLEA MARKETS! And I have been going to as many as I can this Summer. But some how, as the season starts to wind down, I'm realizing that I haven't really bought that much this year. Well, I guess I did have a business to invest in, and so I tried to be frugal with my money. And, maybe I'm just not very good with making "big" purchases at the flea market. But, actually, I've noticed that what makes me happy, is finding the little things. Those special little pieces that just bring a smile to my face, but don't necessarily break the bank. So I thought I would share with you a few of my favorite little things from this Summer's flea market excursions...

I have been collecting vintage prayer cards for awhile now. And last weekend I was fortunate enough to hit the jackpot of old prayer cards. To me, their beauty is so calming and peaceful, and I consider them very special...

I adore old frames. The larger one came already with that lovely shade of gray, and the little one I painted as she was in desperate need of some lovin...

I purchased quite a few vintage rosaries this Summer, but this child's one is my favorite. It's so sweet and delicate...and it hangs on my daughter's christening gown in her bedroom...

I'm thinking of putting these old clock faces in the teeny tiny office I mentioned I've been working on...

And last, but not least, the little French seedling cups that just bring me joy.

Zinc + French = LOVE!

What are your favorite little things? I'd love to know...

Tracey

Chickadees...I've missed seeing them over the last couple of years. Today, whilst in my backyard...I heard some tweeting and discovered a little group of Chickadees hopping around in my lilac hedge.

There are so many things that I just love! First and foremost, scottish terrier collectables. From then on it's just whatever strikes my fancy. The latest was an absolutely beautiful green depression glas bowl. It just sang to me when I went by it in the antique store I was in. Mostly I love things with history.

I love all of your "little treasures". I am in desperate need of a good flea market trip. I have not gotten out as much this summer as I would have liked to. I think this fall I will have to remedy that. By the way, I will have to dig out my pumpkin pancake recipe and do a post very soon! Have a great weekend!
