This and that...

Well my friends, I have been hanging out with sick kids all week...and it's not fun!

My daughter was home from school battling the same nasty cough my son has had and just as she went back to school yesterday, my poor little guy's cough turned into full fledged flu. I don't know if it's the swine flu or not, but either way he's down and out.

So there wasn't a lot of extra time for me to put together a post, but I hated to just ignore my little blog...after all it's like a ray of sunshine hearing from all of you throughout my day...it truly is a treat each and every time I get a comment!

So I went into my "gallery" of inspiring photos and pulled out a few I haven't used before...they don't have any rhyme or reason as to a general theme...other than I just like them...

So please enjoy and I'll be back when my little ones are feeling better.

I'm wondering if there's any hope that the rest of us won't get Braden's flu? Don't answer that...let's just keep things positive :)

Have nothing in your houses
that you do not know to be useful
or believe to be beautiful...

That flu kind of snuck up on me this week...thought I just had a headache and kept going-then it gets ya! I love your pictures and am looking at the draped slipcover. I have been looking for aone for a wingback sofa-maybe I'll loosen up and try a drape.
Hope you all get and stay well!

Hi Tracey,
Thanks so much for the absolutey gorgeous pictures this morning! I love the white room w/ the grey cabinet...love the bed w/ the bella notte linens~wondering how can I possibly afford them.....I N E E D T H E M!!!!! I have loved the kitchen picture forever & think I also have that one in it's magazine form. Love the vintage-ness of it.

Here's an idea for you avoiding getting sick...This really works and we've used it in our home for several years now. Airborne! Have you heard of it? It's in the cold/flu section and it's the supplement that was invented by a teacher. We take it like crazy when someone starts to get sick. It just builds up your immunity. All 3 of my girls were sick last week and I have so far (knock on wood...) avoided it. But I've been taking it everyday. I swear by it! It's best to take it as soon as soon as you start to feel a cold coming on or when others around you are sick.

But seriously...try it! Ok sorry to take up so much room here! Hope you have a restful week somehow...:-)

I too have some of those in my 'keepsake' pile of photos from others......

and the buttons! wow - it puts my little bit to shame (it only fits in a small mason jar for heavens sake)

do you have fresh chamomile available where you are? steep that with honey for tea - and it will help your little guy -
the flu is def. going around~

hope you stay well -

Hi Tracey,
I think it might be worth a little case of the sniffles (but not the flu) if I had a bed like the one from Bella Notte there... I have wanted some of their linens for a long time but with cats, forget it. For some reason, they never jump up on anything in the entire house but my bed. Hope your kiddies are feeling better soon. Keep healthy!
