I could've called this post Switcheroo Part II, but what fun would that be?! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed their Valentine's day with those you love most in the world!
This room does in fact get an amazing amount of light all afternoon! I played around with my camera settings a bit, thanks to the fabulous tips from my resident photography friend, Traci ...and I am loving the results! I didn't do any editing at all this time around and relied only on what the camera could do...thank you Traci for the tips and the help!!! Who knew all of those buttons actually did something important :)
The "bones" of this room are pretty much in place, but I still have some vignettes to work on...no inspiration was coming to me in some areas of the room, so I thought I would just wait it out...gives me something to blog about in another post, right?! :)
I had the privilege and the joy of meeting some truly kindred spirits this weekend at Jen's Bloggy Girl's Get Together!!! How wonderful it was to spend time meeting fellow bloggers...everyone was so kind and fun and I loved every minute of our get together!!! And Amy...you were a fabulous host and we all so thoroughly enjoyed your home and your hospitality!!! Looking forward to the next one girls! :)
...wishing everyone a happy new week! I'm off to watch a movie with my sweetie...

So very pretty! I wish you could have a little camera tutorial from your friend for those of us who are in the same boat with not knowing what buttons do good things on a camera! Your photos turned out beautifully.

Sasha
Your photos are really beautiful, I can't wait to go see what Traci has to say and which settings to try!
Your dining room looks gorgeous and the inspiration for those last little touches will come with time.

These are absolutely beautiful shots of your room! It's like right out of a magazine - love the cabinet! It makes me want to re-photograph all my rooms! :)

Tracey these photos are gorgeous! I love to just let the camera and the eye do the work too. (but mostly because I know I wouldn't be able to figure out an editing program anyway) I wish I wasn't always down to the wire posting though, beause then I don't take the time to make my photos better by using more settings on the camera.
The dining room is just so dreamy. It all is just amazing. The light in that room is incredible. I adore those jars with the tulips.
hugs
Gorgeous! The room AND the photography! Love the diagonal table.
Oh my goodness, your dining room is absolutely fabulous and I love that you put the table on an angle...absolutely brilliant!
I just want to crawl through my computer screen and have a really good look around! Fabulous job sweet friend and as usual, I'm off now to wipe the drool off my face...le sigh!

I love your photos, it makes me want it all. Florence
I don't want to interrupt you while you are watching the movie, but 2 questions...is the color of your walls blue or is it the light bouncing? and, what camera setting?
hugs, Lisa
Wowza, girl! Stunning!
Tracey! What a pretty...pretty room! I especially love your scalloped cupboard with the vintage bottles.
I hope you and your sweetie are enjoying your movie!

Love the room! Of course I knew it would be FAB, but those pics make it look like it jumped out of the pages of Jeanne d' Arc! I don't know how you did the one with the blue canning jars on the table, they just jump out at you! and the inside of the tulip-wow! Great tips you got. I love seeing your home, it's truly amazing. More lovely photos. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR the settings are one thing by themselves. It's combining them that needs work so they aren't too warm or too cool. I miss my good old film cameras.
