Well it's no Starbuck's, but it is one of my favorite spots in the house...this little corner is one I didn't show you when I photographed my {new} living room/creative space last week.  I needed a spot for all of those white cups that were on the bottle rack, so I started putting them on this little iron shelf and somehow it all morphed into a mini cafe idea...

I must say, sitting in there with the sunlight streaming through the bay window, magazine in hand, sipping a latte is pure heaven...too bad it doesn't happen very often...ha!...seems those little ones are ALWAYS in need of something :)

...homemade vanilla sugar anyone?... about a fresh muffin?...

I'm still working on the dining room part of the switcheroo, hopefully I'll finish that up this week.  We've been dealing with taking my son to the allergist and trying to get him back to healthy...seems he's developed allergy induced I'm a little behind on everything, including visiting all of sometimes throws you a couple of curve balls...right now we just want our sweet little boy back to healthy!

Have a great start to your week everyone!!!

Hi Tracey,

What a nice display, I love the chalk board effect and the stamped burlap. I hope your little one starts feeling better soon. Ask your physician about selenium I have heard it helps lung function and it's natural.

Can't wait for the next magazine to go on sale....xoxo Julie

Oh that's a perfect addition to your creative area. You have inspired me with those lovely images and ideas! So scary to first learn about asthma in our loved ones (our grandson was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma) at least now you can learn how to be ready and take control of it. Take care! ~Lili

What a beautiful little corner you've created here, Tracey - it's beautiful. I know I've said it before, but you have such a talent for styling..!

I hope you can get your little guy's health back on track soon. Noah has eczema, so I'm sort of holding my breath about asthma - since he's predisposed to it because of the eczema... I'll be thinking of you this week, dear.

Hi Tracey- This is such a charming little area! I LOVE coffee and this makes it seem even more like a special treat! I hope your son is doing better soon- my daughter has asthma- I remember how scary it was trying to figure it out and get it under control. I'll be thinking of you...XO

Sorry to hear about your son. My son also suffers from Allergies and Asthma. This has been a really hard winter on him. He has missed so much school because of the barking cough.

Your coffee corner is awesome. How do you make Vanilla Sugar? I would love that in my coffee.

Thanks for the inspiration.

Just a perfect little retreat and I bet you could sell out in seconds if you ever decided to put an open sign on your front door. I know I would be there!
I'll be praying for your little guy. I had asthma as a child so I kind of know how scary it is for him and you. Thankfully I outgrew it by the time I was a teenager.
Hopefully, everything will go well.

Dear Tracey, you can`t do wrong! I love your little corner! This colour palette has such a magical effect on me, I love the contrasts. Makes is exciting to look at! Traceys cafe, may I have a cup of hot chocolate?

Allergy can make daily routines so hard, and tip over any spirit. I hope you son will recover very soon. And I also hope you`ll find a good way to learn how to live with it. I know it can be hard! My family has a lot of food/contact allergies.

Have a great new week blogfriend,

Tracey that is an ideal collection/display for your little cafe corner...lovely, lovely, lovely!!

Hope your little one is feeling better soon. Allergy induced asthma is a "common" thing with children but it's frightening nevertheless. Getting on top of it will make you all feel better!! xo

Beautiful little cafe corner! I have an antique tea cart but it just sits in my basement because I don't have room anywhere in the house! However, I did recently purchase a fantastic wrought iron shelf for all my coffee mugs, etc. When I get someone to hang it, I'll show it on my blog. TJ Maxx!

Nothing scarier than a child who has allergies/asthma. I will pray for your son and you and your family. Bless your heart, yes life does throw the curve balls an we must adjust to them. I do love the chalkboard with the cups. Better than Starbucks! Think the "cafe" idea is a nice restful place to stop in during the day. Blessings,

Hi Tracey,
I completely understand what your going through with your son. My family and I just moved from Southern California to Central California 8 months ago and we have literally been sick ever since. In the past 4 months, I have been well a total of 3 weeks out of 4 months. My boys, ages 5 and 22 months, have been extremely ill as well and the only thing the Doctor can tell us is that it is because of allergies and they think I and my 5 year old also has allergy induced asthma. It has been a nightmare. It is so pitiful when your children are sick and you can't take away their pain. I hope everything goes okay for your son. Hang in there. Oh, and I love your little cafe' spot.
