Hello! I'm back...my computer died on me and I finally had to face the fact that I was going to have to buy a new one...it's not that my old laptop was ancient or anything, I just bought it last July, but it's been a "lemon" ever since I got it. Good riddens!!! So now that I have a working computer again, I'm back to trying to tackle Photoshop! All I can say is, if I didn't have the help of my uber talented photography friend Traci, I would NEVER...let me say that again...NEVER be able to use Photoshop!!! It's tough! I have a long way to go before I know what I'm doing, but here's a few photos I altered with textures...
{carnations in vintage teacups from my home}
{a "carte postale" overlay on a photo from Halen's room...this one is fun to play around with}
{adding an old polaroid effect to one of the photos from the berry picking excursion from last Fall}
Enjoy your weekend...hope you find a little time to create!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tracey

Dear Tracey,
I LOVE what you did to your photographs. BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to get photoshop, won't be getting it until this summer. YOU are so Talented. I LOVED your pictures before photoshop! It is really neat to see what you can do to them. I love all the different effects that you did! Thanks for sharing your talents with us
Take Care,

Oh I love the bedroom... neat...
Beautiful! You are so brave. I attempted photoshop and after the 30 day trail I was so confused.. I didn't bother to purchase it...Yet! I am hoping to figure it out when I get my new camera{whenever that may be}. I seem to be having the same problem with my camera that you have had with your computer! It would probably help if I knew how to take a good picture!;)
BTW.. I am now a follower!! Love your style!!!!

Oh Tracey,
The photos are just beautiful! I especially love the one of your daughters room with the post card effect. I wish I could do photo shop, but it seems a bit expensive to get, at least for me. I will just live through your lovely photos!
I hope you have a lovely weekend.

Oh how I hate computers at times...mine died a few months ago...with all my images..which could not be saved. I cried for days. You have me so wanting to try photoshop...your images are amazing. xoxoox
I love your photo with the overlay....beautiful, friend!
Beautiful! I love playing with photoshop and textures!! Yours are lovely!
Bonjour Tracey,
I really love that one with the Carte Potal overlay, very nice.
Your photos are fabulous, Tracey...with & without the textures! Have fun "playing" in Photoshop; but, watch out, it's easy to get "addicted" to it;) And may I ask where you found the "carte postale" overlay? Love it!
Beautiful - as always, Tracey!! Your photos are just GORGEOUS!!
xo
Anette:)
p.s. my answer to your question is coming soon;)
I love the photo effects and the photos themselves. Such a beautiful bedroom.
It is nice to see a new post from you! Lovely flowers at your photos. The photos looks so old-fashioned. Lovely!
ooohhh, I LOVE these! My favorite is the "postcard" one. Speaking of that room, where did you get her bedding, if you don't mind me asking?
As always, just lovely! I've never visited her site, so I took a peek and it's gorgeous! My new camera is arriving tomorrow and I can hardly wait! IT will be a while until I plunge into photoshop, however...
Those photos are beautiful! I like the play of texture on them. Glad you have a working computer again.
Hugs,
Victoria
Hi Tracey,
Your photos are so pretty. I'd say you are mastering it quite well.
My son gave me the software for Photoshop, but I have yet to give it a try. I have heard it can be quite intimidating. Oh well, I hope I can get somewhere with it.
hugs
Sissie
Beautiful pictures, I especially like the one of your daughters bedroom!
Tracey these are so lovely. It looks like you have definitely mastered PS. Just gorgeous, every one.

Your photos are always amazing...I love what you did to every single one of them:)
I think you are learning quite well:)
Those turned out fabulous:) Jeanne gave Lissa and I a little tutorial recently and I was lost. I am just not techy. You did great!
You're doing great with photoshop, Tracey!
I use it a lot; I'm not particularly good with it, but did change the look of the top of my header with it because there were some imperfections in the photo when I enlarged it. I also use it to adjust colors and block out parts of my kitchen counters. (And electric outlets, which seem to pop up all the time!)
Keep at it!
Happy weekend to you!
I love what you did with your photos. I have not yet learned photoshop because I have heard, just like you said, that it is difficult, but now that I see the french postcard printed over your daughter's room it makes it really tempting.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
These could seriously be prints from an art store! They look beautiful!
Gogeous! I am starting to learn those too, wish me luck, lol! have a great weekend! Isn't Traci the best!
Looks like you've mastered it to me!!! There's a lot of effects that are not really usable unless you want it to look like a oil painting.
I'm still struggling with it myself!
xxx
Waw! You seem to be very clever with photoshop!!! I've never used it, but may be I've to try!
A nice week end to you!
Vale
those textures are awesome.

I just love your images anyway, but the layering that's available with Photoshop really takes them to the next level. But your creativity to think to do this is something that goes beyond Photoshop. Lovely as usual. ~Lili
Let's have Traci do some classes---I'll sign up!
Lovely photos Tracey.

Love your blog and I am always inspired. Thanks for sharing!! Brandy
Lovely photos. Someone told me 15 years ago learn Photoshop and I should have! I'm stuck when it comes to the brushes and overlays.
those turned out just gorgeous!!!
Love the textures ... especially the postcard overlay.
I finally had to break down and buy a new laptop last night (gulp). This posted inspired me to order Photoshop Elements! Are you using elements or the full-blown Photoshop? (If full-blown, I'm mucho impressed as that is trick-y!)
These are so beautiful...and inspiring. But when you say photoshop is difficult, well then I hesitate to ever try it.
Gorgeous blog!! Wow!
My eyes are wide open and Im drooling :)
Im your newest follower!
Come visit me..
Deborah :)
Ooh pretty, Tracey.
I love Photoshop but know don't how to do much with it. Of course, I told my husband I couldn't live without it. Think a little course is in order!
Love your photos as always!
