Simple joys...

{having fun with Photoshop}

Happy Thursday!  Almost the weekend :)  Yesterday I decided to focus on appreciating the simple joys in my day...those little things that bring a smile to my face and joy to my heart...here is a sampling of the delights of my day yesterday...

my morning latte...

cannoli from Il Giardino del Dolce {I think I'm addicted}

happy flowers in my garden...

fresh cut flowers from my garden to brighten the house...

...carried inside in my favorite chippy old basket...

a gift from my daughter...a sweet heart in a little red box, with her picture on one side, for me to look at when she is at school and I am missing her...

an independent two year old who can dress herself...well, kind of...

I hope you all find simple joys in your day today!

Tracey

Such a cute post! Love the 2 year olds idea of fashion. I got a 3 year old here with the same sense. She was running around outside the other day with her bathing suit on and knee socks. Why knee socks? So her feet didn't get cold! Duh, stupid mom!

Beautiful post. Why do you have to show the coffee though??? Just mean...and I thought we were friends!

What a sweet post Tracey! Love that basket! Now I am wishing I had picked up one that looks just like this one. I have looked at it several times and now it is probably gone. :(

Can you believe I don't think I have ever had a cannoli?? I must remedy that soon. First I have to find a place that makes the.lol.

Love the latte cup, the flowers, your two year old's socks and shoes. Too cute!! Aren't they fiercely independent at that age? My darling gd Annika (3 years old) wants to do everything for herself and I mean everything. Sometimes she gets her shoes on the wrong feet and I want to fix them and she says NO...lol.
They are so precious at that age. ENJOY!!
Blessings~

Hi Tracey,

Love all the beautiful photos you have shared today.
Especially the sweet red box with the heart with the photo of your daughter.
Your sweet 2 year old, is a lot like my daughter used to be, when she dressed herself.... how precious.
We do need to appreciate the little things, as they do bring us so much joy.

What a wonderful post Tracey. The simplest things often contain the most beauty.
I love the independent child comment. When I'm up front singing at church and my hubby arrives in late with the kids, I do a quick scan of what they're wearing and it's often very independent :o)
Have a blessed day.

ps. I went to a flea marked in Amsterdam recently and came across a vintage burlap sack and I thought of you!

Your two year old has happy style! That's always beautiful/gorgeous! =] Er, I can see why you're addicted....

I started humming that Fred Astaire song to myself, somewhere around the forget-me-nots ~ "heaven! (doodeedoo) I'm in heeeeaven!" You know the song, "Dancing Cheek to Cheek!" Yup, that's how this post feels. I'm going to go and look again!
