More window love...

Hello!  I have been at it again...stocking my {new} home with architectural salvage to try and give it that old look that I love so much!  My husband sometimes thinks I'm a little crazy for bringing in so much "old stuff," but he is a good sport about it :)  When I saw this arched window recently, I just had to have it!  I have wanted one for a long time now.  The patina on it is perfect!  It's a good balance to the darkwood buffet that I have in this corner of the dining room.  The buffet is a family heirloom that my husband lovingly refinished a number of years ago, so I can't really paint it like I would like to.  I think the window compliments it well...

I hung vintage French book pages and flashcards from a large branch.  I have such a love of vintage papers, and if they are French, even better!! :)  I'm sure the accessories will change some {because that's how I am}, but for now this is how it will look...

I am off to the Farm Chicks Show tomorrow bright and early with my friend Jen, and I can hardly stand the anticipation! I am rooming with Jen and Tara and am really looking forward to spending time with these fabulous girls and meeting some new friends as well!!!   I promise to take lots of pictures of the show to bring home and share with all of you!!!!

I want to also say that I know I have been really absent in blogland lately and I miss all of your beautiful blogs!  I have been here a lot lately...

Hopefully I will be all caught up on my gardening in the next week and can have back a wee bit of spare time to enjoy and visit all of your blogs!  As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting my little blog and especially for all of you who leave me such wonderful and loving comments!!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Tracey

OK...Love, love, love, LOVE the arched windows you found!! If I knew where you lived, I would sneek in your house after all were asleep & as quite as a mouse, I would carefully take them out of your house & put them ever so gently into my waiting & running car & without looking back, drive back to CA as fast as I could!!! So tell your hubby you have a cyberstalker now simply because of those amazingly awesome arched windows. LOL He's probably going to make you stop blogging once he hears this! ;)
Smiles & congrats on the lucky score!!!

Hi Tracey,
Oh dear....I'm way down the list of comments and that is probably because I have been 'in the garden' as well !!!! I just LOVE your arched window and wish that I could 'come upon 'one sometime soon !! They don't seem to have caught onto windows in the UK yet !! Everything looks wonderful and, I think that it's lovely that your sideboard (buffet) is wood. I do think that a bit of contrast is good sometimes and it looks as if your husband has spend a lot of time getting it to look so good.
Have a great time at the Farm Chicks Show and take loads of photographs ! XXXX
