I almost didn't squeeze a second post in this week, but luckily I found a few free moments today {it's been a rather crazy week!} to share this little corner with you...
I love this time of year...
The garden is bursting with fresh produce and the herbs are in abundance. I love being able to just dash out my back door and pick a handful of fresh herbs...I use them for everything...and not just for cooking...I love to decorate with them as well...
I usually stash little vases of herbs around the house...their simplicity and frangrance is very appealing to me...but today I decided to hang a few herb bundles from this old window that I have...
I love being able to brighten the house with things from the garden...
I hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend!!!
Tracey

Gorgeous! That lil corner looks so peaceful and calming - and I bet the smell is intoxicating :)
I was wondering if you knew what sort of plant that is in your blueberry bowl (with the purple flowers)? We have the same plant and it seeds itself all over the place...I have never been able to find out what it is (it might be a weed for all i know!)
Have a lovely (non-crazy)weekend :D

I know what you mean.I love it too when I cut my own herbs and everything tastes so much better. But your window idea is so cute and ingenius. Right now in Ausralia, not so many herbs are growing but come spring I'll be planting more and perhaps I'll try hanging some somewhere. Fiona

Ohmylanta! The only thing I can go and pick from outside now is dried hydrangeas. My poor garden is just shriveling from the heat.

Very pretty! I had a dun weekend with you... no. more. popcorn. again. too. much. cheese.
Hey you sweet girl, I am always so happy to look at your wonderful blog and you give me joy and inspiration. Your corner is so fine and Tracey you are a master at making beauty around you.
Now I look more what I have missed the time I've been on vacation.
This week is our second book Live Beautifully ready and I have butterflies in my stomach hihi. Many warm hugs to you / Ingela.
Tracey this is such a beautiful idea- I love it. Did you hand stamp the design on your grain sack? I have been wanting to do this but I am a little nervous about ruining my bags... anyway it looks amazing.
I love the fresh herbs and garden flowers in the house too- in fact, I would rather have them than bunches of arranged flowers from the florist. The house looks great- can you come clean mine? So in awe...
Beautiful, Tracey, just beautiful!
Happy August!
: )

I am trying to save my potted herb garden. The poor thing did not get watered when we were on vacation. I love to cut them and put them in little pitchers on my kitchen counter. The aroma is awesome and it keeps them fresh for quite a few days.
