Hello Monday! How about some pretty lavender pictures for your Monday morning? Have I ever told you that I am a wee bit obsessed with lavender??! I just love how it smells, so when I recently found fresh lavender bundles for sale at Trader Joe's, I went a little crazy and bought 13 bundles of it!!! I know, that's a lot of lavender :)
I've tucked some in just about every corner in the house and have a few projects planned with it as well. Here's a look at some of what I've done so far...
This enamel pitcher was a flea market find from earlier in the month...Judy brought it back from her trip to England...and now it resides in my home!
My downstairs hallway...zinc French seedling cups and some of my burlap sacks mingle nicely with the lavender...
I'll be back soon with those inside pictures of Horton's that I promised to show you.
Happy New Week!!!
Tracey

Good Monday Morning to you. Your lavender photos are dreamy. I love it too. Although I wasn't so keen on the lavender chocolate I tried the other day. I think I'll stick to smelling it. Cheers. Stacey

When I was in Provence this June I stopped my car by the road and picked a big bouqet which I brought all the way home to Norway:)
Gorgeous as always, Tracey! I especially love the last one with the letters...so pretty!

your photo are lovely! i laughed when you said you bought 13 bundles! i wish we had a trader joe's here. have a super week! susan
I would share some of my lavender with you! I have 5 huge bushes, and harvested quite a bit this year. The bad thing is I still have some left from prior years! You certainly put yours to good use, and the photos are lovely as always!
Lavender is so beautiful. If you get the chance, visit Cherry Point Market in Shelby, Michigan -- they have a lavender labyrinth. For readers in the north country -- hidcote, munstead and grosso are the varieties that will survive hard midwestern winters -- I have five plants in my garden -- I'd like to take over the whole garden with them!
Don't worry you are not alone with your love for lavender. I love to go out to our flower beds and cut some fresh for each week. Your home is beautiful.
Your home must smell as beautiful as it looks! Have a great week, Tracey!

Me too!! I love lavender. My sister made me several lavender wands and I have them in the closets, drawers, everywhere, but I forget to rub them, LOL, to release the aroma.
I'm going to go to Trader Joe's today and see if ours has any!
xxoo
Beautiful photos! I love lavender too. I am growing 3 plants in pots on my front porch. They are doing great but I think the humidity is tarting to slow them down. I love to run my hand over them every time I come in the front door. :)
It just looks so "out of time"...like it's from some old memory, especially when it's ties up in bundles. Lovely!
m ^..^
that pitcher is my favorite....I so wanted to keep that in my purse! j/k - kind of -

Oh, Tracey, this is heavenly gorgeousness. Just PERFECT to start my adventures in my boy's rooms, today. Even though I can't quite smell it (almost though, I'm telling you!), it's so soothing. Isn't it nice to know that we're not the first ones to adore lavender - I mean, it stretches on back into history and, it seems, all around the world. You've struck a deep vein of gold with this post! =]
Love, Katy

I discovered that lavender this past weekend at Trader Joe's. After seeing your pics, I think I'll have to go back for a couple more bunches. Beautiful!
Amy
What amazing photos. I'm in love with your fresh flowers all over the place. I've gotta get me some of that :)
Ooh, I'm obsessed with lavender too, could be that's why there's tons of it planted outside and stashed inside too. Love the zinc, it's beautiful!
Oh!!!!!
I love the smell of lavender.
It's also such a pretty flower to look at too.
Melinda
Ahhhhhh, the perfect Monday post! I can practically smell the beautiful lavender through my computer screen - thanks for sharing:)
Oh my! I just came across your blog, and when I saw this post, I shrieked because I'm quite obsessed with lavender. I recently purchased Floracopeia's Fine Population Lavender oil and loved it so much that I bought more and now I'm an affiliate. If I have it in my bag, people smell it, ask me about it, and then try to buy my personal bottle. It's really that good. It's affordable, organic, and sustainably harvested in France. :-) They had a lavender hydrosol too, but it's now out of stock, which is of no surprise to me.
If you click on my link, it will take you to my blog where you can find the button to the store or just go to www.floracopeia.com and find the store icon there.
Many thanks for such a beautiful and uplifting post!
Lavender how I love thee, let me count the ways. From candles to sprays to sachets...
I promised myself to get a dozen plants next year. Out 2 tiny little ones are not enough.
Hi Tracey, well I wasnt a big fan of lavender but seeing how totally fabulous it looks in your home, well I am changing my mind fast!!

MMM Lavender...the scent that keeps on giving. One of my favorites, but sadly won't grow for me in this Texas heat...believe me...I've tried.
In the meantime, I just buy it in whatever form I can find...including Yardley's soap!
Debbie
Oh Tracey...how beautiful your lavender is....I may just have to check at my next TJ's visit...although it wouldn't look as stunning...I think i do need some because it's oh so pretty...
Hello Tracey,
many thanks for your kind comment on my blog. I'm so glad about it! Your blog is so beautiful! So many inspirations and I enjoy your beautiful pictures so much!
So stunning!
Have a nice day,
Yvonne
Hey there darlin.....wonderful photos..can almost smell the lavender..my neighbour just brought me a HUGE bunch of it...best gift ever!!! Oh, think Shannon is going to order a couple of things from you,I have been after to her to do it for abit...a pillow cover for sure...she better if she wants me to decorate for her!! x0x0
Ah, Tracey....you have a such a beautiful way of putting vignettes together. I just LUV the bluish-gray color of those zinc pots (note to self: find some!) with the rich purple of the lavender. Sigh! Oh! and don't you find yourself just swooning over that English body pitcher? I'm obsessed with mine! :)
Hugs to you, girl!
xoxo laurie@heavens-walk
Beautiful. I heard somewhere it symbolizes remembrance. My mom gave me a huge bunch of it a few years ago that smelled so sweet in my house long after she died. Now lavender always makes me think of how she never let me leave the house without something in my hands - lavender, flowers, leftovers...and it makes me think of the time she left lavender tied with twine on my nightstand the night before she met my future mother-in-law...and the time we bought three different kinds to grow in the garden. Lavender has the magic to bring back many good memories.
Hi Tracey,
I love lavender too! Your pictures are just beautiful.
