Hi! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend and are ready for the new week! I did get to make that pumpkin bread over the weekend and it just made Fall seem so official! So I decided to add a little touch of Fall to my studio.
I have a hydrangea bush that produced not even one bloom this year {not sure what the problem is there}, but it does have the prettiest leaves that are turning all kinds of beautiful Fall colors. So I used those as the basis for infusing just a bit of Autumn into my studio...
I love the idea of adding a bit of nature to your decor no matter what time of year it is.
My vintage cloche and papers from an old gardening book seemed to fit right in with my theme...
...and you know how much I love to use old clock faces...
Not a major redo, just a little pick me up for my studio...I love changing things up, even if it's just a little, to keep myself inspired!
The table that everything is displayed on is an old one I had stored away in the basement and brought up when I couldn't find another small farm table at the flea market to replace the one I moved to Braden's room...but it's just temporary...I am working {or rather my husband is working} on repurposing some things from around the house and turning them into a new table...and I hope to share that with you soon.
I'm off to eat some pumpkin bread :))
Tracey

I have the same problem with a peegee hydrangea I have. When you figure it out...let me know.
The coloring on the leaves mimic the way hydrangeas dry...beautiful!

looks gorgeous tracey. such a simple touch but amazing resulets. those leaves are a beautiful color. have a great day!!
Hello, dear Tracey! I haven't been around for a month or so - life's been just so busy! I've been having a hard time really getting into the fall spirit - now, I know why - I needed you! =] (Well, all of "you guys" in blogging land =]) I wasn't able to stop reading, though, till I got to where I left off - Braden's room. Everything is so lovely and so inspiring. I'm so happy to have come and visited, today!
Love, to you and yours! Katy Noelle
P.S. The autumn walk that you took with your sweet daughter was precious!
Beautiful, Tracey!
I love the vintage gardening book. Something about the word "Pumpkin" always makes me smile. :)
Your hydrangea leaves are gorgeous! Here is a tip I received from an organic gardener friend to increase blooms... dig a trench around the hydrangea about 3 inces deep, pour epsom saltin the trench ( 1 large box takes care of 2 hydreangeas) and recover with the soil. The past few years I have done this in early spring and I have noticed a huge difference. I hope it works for you!:)
Blessings,
Melanie
Looks like you had fun and I love how you brought pieces together to inspire you.
Mmmm I'll have to try some pumpkin bread.
Gorgeous! Love the photo of the page from the vintage gardening book. So pretty!
And just so you know, my hydrangeas didn't bloom either!

Sooo pretty Tracey....love the clock face!! Do I see a lovely new pillow in the background, why yes I do...I think I need one of those...oh wait a minute...I am getting one of those..hahaha..sorry but I am all hopped up on a pillow high these days!!! Have a good week,x0
Very much autumn, your dekorations! About the hydrangea: Perhaps it was too cold outside in winter? The buds come in autumn, and if it is too cold, they freeze in winter. There are new species though, which bloom at new branches and the buds coming in spring.

I also love your autumn touches. And I love pumpkin bread!
Don't trim your hydrangea bush as it blooms on old growth. I gave mine a good whacking one year & nothing but green the next. We had tons of blooms all over town this year. Must have been the weather.
Love the little bits of autumn...so simple yet oh so lovely! And now I'm hungry for pumpkin bread;) Happy Monday to you, Tracey!
So pretty, Tracey! I love the old gardening pages! My hydrangea had three blooms this year...I think it is too shady where it's planted...
I love this photo's, Tracey, beautiful with the leaves of the Hydrangea.
I like the candleglass what you have here.
Have you some pumpkin bread for me
:-)) hahaha

i always love your inspirational and yummy images! love the subtle colors in the hydrangea leaves...i don't know what kind of hydrangea you have, but it could be you are trimming at the wrong time of year? try not trimming the shrub this fall, as the buds for next years flowers may have already formed :0)
Can't wait to see the table, Tracey, as always your vignettes are breathtaking. I love the little bird's nest with the hatched egg.
Hello Tracey,

ANETTE:)
I can't grow a healthy hydrangea to save my life!
My husband made an old farmhouse/barnboard table for my backyard this summer. I was sad to see him putting it away for the winter today. What is it about those farmhouse tables that makes us rearrange rooms over?!
Beautiful photos, Traci! Blessings... Polly

Hi Tracey, A gardener friend once looked at my hydrangea bush that wasn't blooming and told me it was planted too deep. So in the spring I pulled the soil away to expose the top part of where the stems meet and that did the trick! Until I saw your post, I can't say I ever noticed those gorgeous color in the leaves. They make a most beautiful statement in your studio space! xo ~Lili
I love decorating with bits and pieces of nature!
