A Walk in the Woods...

Happy weekend my friends!  We are experiencing absolutely beautiful weather here in the Midwest this weekend...so I decided to take my littlest one over to the nearby forest preserve this morning.

We are lucky to be only one mile from so much beauty...

We grabbed our hats...

And headed into the woods...

We were ready for an adventure.

Of course there were a few stops along the way...

A three year old does love to examine EVERYTHING!

{sticks provide hours of interesting playtime}

As long as we were there, we thought we would gather up a few bits of nature for a little Fall decorating back home...

And all of this activity meant we needed to stop for a short rest...

...and more stick playing...

But alas, it was time to kiss the forest goodbye...

Happy Autumn!

Thanks for sharing in our adventure!

{I will be back soon with pictures from the amazing Na-Da Farm Barn Sale}

I love how your pictures tell the whole story of your day!
Aren't the fall colors amazing this year - they seem to be richer and brighter for some reason. It's hard to believe that this time last year in NE, we had snow!

your little one is absolutely adorable and so precious with that hat on ~
Happy fall!
