anthropologie in london...

Hello!  I'm back.  I have sooooo many pictures to sort through, but I thought I would at least show you the pictures I took while in the Anthropologie store in London {since I could just grab them off of my camera without having to do a lot of editing}...

We took a stroll down lovely Regent Street on Saturday morning...can you imagine shopping amongst all of these beautiful buildings?!!  It was amazing...



I was absolutely delighted when we came across Anthropologie!  The store was 3 floors of gorgeousness!!



I tried to discreetly snap some photos to share with all of you, mostly from the home decor section.  The displays were incredible!  This part of the store was in the basement level, so the lighting was very funky and I tried my best to set my camera to accommodate for it.



There were a lot of old pallets used in the displays...





And there was definitely a paint theme going on...with pots of paint, artist canvases, old brushes, and tarps strewn everywhere...I loved it!



The "living wall" was also very cool!  It is made up of hundreds of individual plants and is watered with rainwater from the roof...

This table with all of the vintage frames hanging from it was definitely my favorite display...

We had a fabulous trip and I am anxious to share more photos with you once I get caught up on my sleep and can sort through all of my photos.  In the meantime, I would love to hear what all of you have been up to {I feel so out of the loop :)}!

{I still need to draw a winner for the Gli Speciali di Casa Chic magazine, so I will be back soon with that}

I'm in Italy!

Well actually, I'm still in London, but my home is in Italy...an Italian magazine that is! :) My home, along with an interview with me, is featured in the current issue of Gli Speciali di Casa Chic.  I was very honored when Lotus Publishing contacted me, but the best part of being in the magazine is that my good friend Maria from Dreamy Whites was featured right along with me in the very same issue!!!  They used all of our own photography, which I'll be honest, made me a little nervous, but is very exciting at the same time.  They were also very generous in how many pages they gave us in each of our features...now, if only I knew how to read Italian :))

I know these pictures are small, so I would love to giveaway a copy of the magazine to one of you!

Junk Bonanza Part Two

I'm back, as promised, with some more pictures of Junk Bonanza!  These aren't all of my photos by any means, but I think they are a good representation of the show and all that it had to offer!!  Being a lover of architectural salvage, I was in heaven at Junk Bonanza, as it was everywhere! 



 

I just loved the old trunk below with the peeling blue and white paint...

There were so many interesting and amazing items to choose from, but I will try and wind this down for you because, really, I could show you pictures all day :)

I didn't get to take many pictures at all at the Creative Connection because I went into St. Paul and had lunch with my sister who lives there and then met back up with Jen and Traci afterwards.  Since they had already been at the Creative Connection for several hours, I just did a quick run through.  I did however run into my friend Rebecca and had to take her pictue.  Her booth was amazing as always!!!  She hand painted that dropcloth behind her in the picture below and it was so beautiful!!!

Jen, Traci and I were always taking a quick set up shot to get our settings on our cameras just right...and I must say it made for some funny pictures as I was going back through my camera.  Somehow though, I wind up looking like a dork in the set up shot below, while Traci looks like a red headed version of Farah Fawcett...it just isn't fair, but she ALWAYS takes a good picture {it'd be easy to hate her if she wasn't so darn nice!} :))

Jen looks adorable no matter what, even in a "practice" shot...

 

But I know she'll hate that I put that shot up, so I better redeem myself and show you this lovely picture of her too!  Jen is one of the most creative girls I know, AND she's beautiful...

Well, that wraps up my Junk Bonanza posts.  It was an incredible weekend spent with very good friends.  I will miss "T squared and Polly Pocket" when I'm wandering the flea markets in London...it just won't be the same without the 3 of us being together!

I'm off to London early on Thursday morning...I'll be back late next week with lots of pictures to share!

Junk Bonanza Part One

Hello!  I'm back, but still in need of sorting through all of my pictures.  Junk Bonanza was so much fun!!!

I wanted to at least put a quick post up and share just a few pictures...starting with one of those two incredibly fun girls above...Traci and Jen...they are the best road trip buddies a girl could ask for!

Let me give you a super fast recap...
