Happy Friday! I have always loved having at least one metal piece in every room that I decorate...I feel that it helps to ground a room and adds extra interest, so when I came across this blue industrial cart that my friend and flea market dealer Diane was selling, I could not resist it!
Ever since I gave Braden the petite farm table that I had in my studio, to use as a desk in his room, I have been searching for the right replacement...and I think this is the perfect one! I love the bold pop of blue to brighten the room...
I sealed the entire cart and so I can now use it for parties and wheel it into any room where I might need it.
Thank you Maria for the fabulous grain sack lavender pillows, I loooove them! Especially the ones made from old German grain sacks!!
{I bought the clock above at Home Goods on clearance for cheap because the clock arms were bent, so I just took them off and am using it as a clock face instead!}
We are officially done with the kitchen, I just have not quite had time to photograph it yet...I promise to share some photos with you next week some time!
Enjoy your weekend ~
:) Tracey

Love this, Tracey! It's so funny because I've recently spied an old beat up metal cart in a basement hallway of the hospital where I work. If it's being discarded, I'm going to ask if I can have it! Great minds think alike :)
I love the "industrial" touch! Beautiful photos and it all works so perfectly together.
Love the rosy tulips playing on the crusty blue.

that cart is perfect in the studio. i love the blue!!!!
i can't wait to see the kitchen. hurry up. just kidding. i will be patient. although that is not one of my strongest traits.
i think i have my husband talked into a little kitchen redo. :)
So gorgeous! I'm swooning over these photos! ... How did you seal the cart?
Yes, I think a little metal, a little rust is a great contrast to all the soft and beautiful feminine things in a room. Love how the pink tulips and blue cart pop against all that lovely white! As always, your photographs are stunning and your post is inspirational! :)
I love this!!! I like my fru fru and got that from my grans and mom but the rust and rough comes from my father and I love the balance adds alot more cool factor and unexpected in your face delight! Your room and picture is beyond words

That metal cart is fantastic! I might add a small lace doily to the top though. Just small enough to put under the flowers. But not too big to cover too much of that gorgeous chippy surface.

Hey Tracey! I couldn't click on your blog quick enough!!! I absolutely love metal chippy items - and this table is so perfect in there - I love the contrast, pop of color and texture it brings
see u at the flea?
I'm loving it, too. The color and rustiness is perfect. It really becomes a focal point against the white. It also made me think and inspired me to bring home a tall industrial table home to my new craft room. I've been wondering where I could possibly use it, being so different from the rest of my house. Thanks for sharing!
There are so many uses for carts like these. The patina is wonderful Tracey. Cannot wait to see your new Kitchen. Hope you have a wonderful weekend, it's been gorgeous weather in most places. xxx tami
I love the cart, Tracie. It's perfect for your beautiful home. Now, that I think of it, I have some metal (an old industrial stool, a metal display stand turned paper towel holder) in my living room and kitchen. I love that look.
Gorgeous photos, by the way.

Gorgeously crusty!! What are you sealing your peeling items with~ I know you are a green gal, so what have you found that is nontoxic, yet a good sealer that isn't letting off fumes little by little even after it dries? Lovin' your style and your wisdom!
Green gal Allison (former winter pick me up giveaway~ and I have enjoyed all the great things in my goodie box!! Thanks again!)
