Pear Blossoms and a Winner

Well, I went a little crazy with the pear blossoms over the weekend! :))  I couldn't help myself...it was such a loooong winter, and spring has been very slow to appear, so I figured I would brighten things up in my dining room while these beautiful flowering branches are in bloom!

I lined the table with some old maps that I have...I thought they gave the table a bit of a beachy feel...and then I used some of my vintage German beer bottles as vases, as well as, some of the recycled glass hurricanes from my shop.

I also scattered some of the new zinc numbers that I carry around the table...I just think these are so cute and are so fun to decorate with!

The winner, chosen randomly, of my homegrown monogram mugs giveaway, is Tricia from A Rosy Note!!!  Thank you to everyone who participated!

Have a great day!

Hello, Tracey!

Isn't it just wonderful fun TO go all out, like this? It gives such a gorgeous hazy, rose colored glasses type, bokeh to real life.... a haze of beauty that, I think, sticks with us! It's wonderful!

(I hope you recognize me.=] I've changed my photo and I haven't been around for a while.... oh, how pleasant to visit, again. I'm off for a good "poke" around.)

Love, Katy Noelle

Oh Yay for me!! Sorry, I'm just so excited. Let's talk about you now :) Your photos look so beautiful Tracy! I love those zinc numbers, they look so nice scattered amongst the maps. And those pear blossoms look just like the ones on my apple tree...I'm hoping they'll be making an appearance soon. It's been so cold here that the tree doesn't even have leaves yet.

Tracey, I fell in love with these pear blossoms in late Feb when loving hubby and I went to New Orleans 10 days before Mardi Gras. All I could do was take and savor the pictures of those tress, the blossoms as they were all on private lands, sigh. So love your creations, especially the glass bottles with the blossoms. I so love simple beauty like this that just blows you away with feelings of Spring/Summer etc.

So I went a little crazy with potted hyacinth bulbs that I bought at Kane...prettied up my dining room...and now today, I am sneezing like crazy! So, I could take them outside, but will I? Nahhhh....Good to see you this weekend.

Oh, who can blame you for bringing those beautiful blossoms indoors for a bountiful presentation! It all looks fabulous. We have gorgeous pear blossom trees down our main street, and the city hosts an annual 'Pear Blossom' festival to celebrate!

Pear blossoms?
I have to say,
I'm a bit jealous ~
the most we have
on the trees here
is forsythia, which
is really a bush!
And I love how you've
styled your blossoms,
too! Hope to see
you at Na-da, Tracey!

Tracey, I love that you went wild with the pear blossoms! A couple of weeks ago, it was windy and getting cold again...I glanced out the window and thought it was snowing! But it was the pear blossoms blowing in the wind!
