Simple Summer Decorating

Hello!  I hope all of the dads out there had a wonderful Father's Day!  It was a busy weekend for us, going to my mother-in-law's surprise 70th birthday party on Saturday and then hosting Father's Day on Sunday, so I am going to keep it short and sweet on this rainy Monday morning...

I decided to cut some herb bundles from my garden and arrange them from my bottle drying rack in the dining room for a little Summer decorating...

I love using herbs around the house...they just say Summer to me :)

I chose what I had in abundance right now...

thyme, lemon thyme, mint, yarrow, lavender and catmint

and I am still in love with my anthro monogram mugs, so I tucked a few of those inside the rack as well...

I hope Summer is in full swing for everyone now!!!

Hi Tracey,
I love the herbs hanging from the bottle holder, very pretty.

I can see the mantle holding all of the mercury glass. It reminds me of mine. I love collecting it.

Hi Tracey, I love what you did with your drying rack! I have one as well, and I have been trying to think of ways to perk it up a bit! For the 4th of July, I'm going to hang little patriotic buckets on hooks and put some red, white and blue flowers in them. Love your idea, have a great week, marcia

I bet you find a hundred and one excuses to brush against your bottle rack just to catch the scents waiting there. I know I would!

Tracy,
Looking forward to seeing you at the french flea market, at Horton's in Tipton. I saw you there last fall, but did not want to disturb your photography. You are very good :):) Smiles, Susie
