Flea Market Finds...Vintage Chairs

Good morning!  Well, I spent the weekend taking photos outside...for a change of pace and to get some practice in too :)  It was very hot, but everything is looking so beautiful that it was a lot of fun too!  I am continuing my series {if you can call it that} on flea market finds, and today I'd like to share with you my wee obsession with vintage chairs...

I often pick up chairs at flea markets and garage sales so that I can have extras on hand if needed.  I don't currently use any of these chairs in my home everyday, but they serve as great extra chairs when needed for dinner parties or impromptu outdoor gatherings...

The lovely blue bistro chair above is I one I picked up from the 3 French Hens Market last month.

...I've had this chair for a few years now...I gave it a quick coat of white paint and recovered the seat with a vintage pillow case...

...and this pretty little chair was a garage sale find, for $3!  It is actually a plastic folding chair that I painted white and added a slip cover to the seat.  It's always great to have chairs that stow away nicely...

And lastly, I do love this ice cream bistro chair.  It was originally black and so I painted it white last year and left it out on my patio all year to give it a little bit of patina...

The vintage botanical prints were a flea market find as well!

I have more outdoor pictures to share soon!  Hope you all have a great start to your week!!!

What a sweet and beautiful table you have set with such character. It looks so summery and inviting ~ how I wish I could sit and sip some wine with you.
I have a favor to ask ~ could you look at my vintage chairs on my blog: http://customcomforts.blogspot.com/2011/06/vintage-folding-chairs.html

and give me an opinion on a price? I have priced them at $40 each which does not include the pillow, but they're not selling. I was under the impression vintage folding chairs are really in right now, but maybe that's only in blogland. I was thinking of marking them down in a few weeks if they don't sell. Thanks for your time and advice.

Hi Tracey!
You have created such a beautiful outdoor setting! Lovely outdoor photography! I love your chairs, especially the blue folding one with the charming detail on the back! Your rustic basket is very nice, too! I was all set to do some photos this morning, but this crazy (and much needed) storm that is going on is putting a damper on that.. hopefully the sun will come out later on today. You always find the best stuff! :)
