Happy week before Thanksgiving! I can hardly believe it!! I am hosting a dinner party on Friday evening, but then I am off the hook for Thanksgiving.
Well, I changed up the table setting from Monday just a bit...mixing my favorite two elements, the rustic and the pretty, for this version...
I kept things fairly simple...I used my bolt of burlap and cut a piece big enough to cover the table and then added vintage French canning jars, golden pears, and the prettiest vintage dinner plates to achieve the look I was going for...
I then stamped words like...gather ~ family ~ love...onto vintage wallpaper that I had picked up at the flea market some time ago, and fashioned a little napkin holder. I also tucked a torn page from a vintage French book and tucked it under the silverware...why, because I seem to be a wee bit obsessed with torn papers lately :) You could choose to stamp names of your guests instead, I just wanted to change it up a bit...
For each new morning
with its light,
For rest and shelter
of the night
For Health and food
for love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
While I was photographing, my little helper showed up and asked if she could come to my party...well, how could I say no?!! She even put her "pretty" dress on all by herself :))
Blessings to all of you ~
Tracey

Your dinner guests are very lucky indeed! I want to come too! Everything looks wonderful, and your little girl is just darling : )
Absolutely beautiful - love the colors and texture. Is that a Homer Laughlin dinner plate? It's lovely.
The whole room is just charming. I love the napkin wrap idea and that dinner plate is lovely. Your daughter is just to precious, how could you say no to that face :)
Tracey it looks so beautiful!
I love your precious little helper too :)
Both settings are beautiful! If I had to choose I think I would choose this one. I love the pretty plates with the French canning jars. Inspiration for today!!!
Oh, I'd love to sit at that pretty table. Your home has such a nice relaxing feel, Tracey. What a cute little helper you have :)
I love your home. it is so beautiful. Your little assistant is as well. Your table looks so nice. So many are so over done. I just got a ladder like yours. I thought about painting it now I may leave it like it is. What kind of floor is that.
THIS is beyond beautiful. I think you are just so talented. I loved both settings but the 2nd is my favorite. this is better than anything I have seen in a magazine lately, or online elsewhere.
LOVELY!
the room is so beautiful...and your assistant as well.
Beautiful. Again. Full of light and warmth - a place where love gathers.
And your assistant is adorable.
I love the French canning jars, they look so beautiful on the table!
And how sweet is your little girl, she's so lovely Tracey!
Hope you have a great day.
Sincerely,
Melinda

Another beautiful table setting, Tracey! Those dishes are so pretty, and I love the way you wrapped your napkins and silverwear.

Another lovely setting and your helper is oh so cute! Love all your attention to detail. Happy Thanksgiving!
Oh, I think this setting is my favorite, but I guess I'm partial to the 'pretty'. I'm admiring those plates and tea cups, and how they look lovely along with the rustic elements.
What a cute little helper your daughter is! Can I ask where you got her white dress? Is it vintage? I have a hard time getting my 4-yr old girl to dress in white, but I love that look!

Gorgeous table setting but I have to say the white vintage dress your daughter has on has stolen the show!!!! I love it.

what an angelic face she has! I have girls too. aren't we blessed? I adore the hand stamped wall paper with the page under it. I don't know the rules of interest/blogging yet but would like, with your permission to pin that image. Is that ok with you?
