Good morning! Yep, I am the "surprise stop" on my good friend Jen's Virtual Christmas House Walk!
Be sure and check out my friend Tara's beautiful home {that is before mine on the tour}, over at Blondie 'n SC! And if you are just getting started with the home tour {which started on Monday} you can get a complete list of homes in the tour over on Jennifer Rizzo's blog.
Ok, let's get started...
I'm afraid I do not have my act quite as together as the rest of the gals on this tour and only have one room to show you and not the whole house...but I took a lot of pictures of this one room :))
I stuck to a very natural Christmas look in this room...lots of fresh greenery, twigs, berries, pine cones, apples and dried orange slices for a homey feel and a Christmasy smell.
the homemade tags on the vintage German beer bottles read, peace, love, joy...
I love using old crates combined with fresh greens, and this crate, along with the vintage Anheuser-Busch crate, belonged to my husband's grandfather...my mother-in-law recently gave them to us and I just LOVE them! Even the sides of the crates have "cool" printing on them...
I made my own dried orange slices by cutting the fruit and then baking them in a 200 degree oven for 3 hours to dry them out. Just flip the fruit slices every 30 minutes or so, in order for the fruit to dry evenly. Super easy! They look really pretty hung on a tree or in a window, as well. And, lemons and limes work great too!
I bought this vintage sheet music wreath, but with a little time, patience, and glitter, you could easily make one yourself!
The usual grain sacks that adorn my old ladder were replaced by these lovely vintage grain sack stocking from Dreamy Whites Online...
Several years ago, my in-laws gave us many of the vintage ornaments that are on our tree, and I have added a few more every year as I find them at the flea market and antique shops...
I will show you more of the tree when I get a few presents wrapped and under it :))
Thank you so much for stopping by! Tomorrow the tour continues with Kristin's home over at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia!!
:) Tracey

I haven't seen the other homes but your room looks awesome! I love the way you have decorated. I also love the stools. I think that the contrast between the cottage feel and that industrial look creates a wonderful feel.

The room is absolutely stunning, Tracey...so very pretty with all your Christmas finery!! And those crates are wonderful; love their sentimental value, too:)
Your home is beautiful and I am IN LOVE with your vintage German bottles with the little tags. I wish I could afford them!! I had a question about the orange slices - do they have a nice fragrance still? And how long do they keep (I mean, do you get ants or anything??)
Thanks!
Amazing Tracey - truly amazing....The combination of vintage, naturals, and farmhouse is melded to perfection in your home. What a wonderfully festive - and serene - holiday oasis. I truly don't care about the rest of your home at this point - I'm feeling at home here and loving it....don't make me leave! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Oh my goodness! Everything looks just beautiful! Now you make me want to go try to make some dried orange slices! I love the touch they add!
Everytime I see your house, I feel like I'm looking through the pages of a magazine. Your holiday decor is amazing.
OMG, I Love the room, so pretty!! I just happened to have 4 oranges that looked well a little dried out, so I just sliced them and stuck them in the oven, thanks for the inspiration. Now to go down and get my old apple orchard ladder to hang some stockings on. Sue
Photos of your lovely home always make me sigh in longing (and a bit of jealousy).
I love all the special touches that make this room so special. Thanks for 'crashing' the tour.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Tracey! I just adore the way you style your rooms. Simple yet very interesting and oh so cozy. :) My eye caught that cute skirt on your armoire. Now I'm thinking I may need to make one for my armoire to hide the cords beneath it. :) Great job, my friend!
xoxo laurie
Well T, you did it again. It looks beautiful. I love the pop of color and I am going to steal the orange peel thing and lie and said I came up with it. :) Thank you so much for being a part of the tour!
